digi pack and website

Digi pack

 Here is an example of rapper ‘Tinie Tempah’s’ album called discovery
At first glance we immediately know that the house colour is purple and of multiple shades of it due to the ‘space/galactic’ theme which fits well with the title being discovery as people are still yet to discover what’s in space.
Tinie Tempah is centred largely on the front colour with a glow around him, this gives off a holy importance to the album. In his arms it appears he is holding a city. this could imply that he has discovered cities and has all the power in the palm of his hands maybe?
You can also clearly see Tinie Tempahs jewellery, from the glasses to the bracelet and the watch. all of which fit well with the conventions of rap as its commonly shown in rap videos.
On the back the space theme is spread throughout and the bold white text helps contrast it so that you can see the text clearer, also on the back is the generic bar code.
Website
For the design of my website i had in mind particular websites i was aware of to create a website for free, for example: Weebly, Wix and moonfruit. Weebly was my first to look at and instantly fell in love. with its slick yet simple design with a diverse amount of editing tools as you can see on the left sidebar. It was simple and straight forward to use with its step by step assistance within 5 minutes of jotting a few bits of information down i had already created most of my website!

Gorgon city
Here is an example of a groups website within the same music genre. This is Gorgon City’s webpage: http://www.gorgoncity.com/
Some noticeable conventions that I took into consideration were:
  • Design – Its design was simple and had a house colour which ran through the large image of the group and its logo.
  • Tabs and links – on the top bar there are clear tabs to direct you to what you are looking for. Down below in the bottom right corner
  • Simplicity – Which each click the page drops down further to each section which is a nice transition and appealing to the eye.
  • Record Label – Along with terms of use, cookie info there is the display of the record label.

Inside Digi Pack
And here is the inside of the digi pack. i have used images from the music video to express continuity throughout all media. The front cover is a very symbolic scene that most viewers will remember as it is the most dramatic and the couple break up in such a sudden way. on the inside the top and bottom was a vehicle that features a lot in the music video, aswell as the establishing scene of a rural area i thought due to the clouds the lyrics ‘if the rain was coming’ fits really well in the digi pack. Lastly where the cd sits i have an image of the two actors holding hands. This is a refference to the srtist ‘Tchami’ as one of tchami’s house logo is a picture of a
hand in an obscure way.




website
Here is our website, as its only a image its more difficult to describe. however, again i used that main image of the break up which has continuity throughout the video, digipack and the website. the website offers all information, details, surveys and more on tchami and the video and ourselves!
