Evaluation question 4

The software we used is called Imovie and it was an easy and effective way of editing our final piece, we were able to add in transitions and quick cuts to compliment the music. The software was reliable and we were impressed with the editing facilities available. We also used the slow down and speed up editing facility which is evident in our music video.

We used A macbook to do all of the editing on, the quick new technology was easy to use and made it fast for us to edit. The macbook was also very easy to transfer videos to and from as it had a lot of storage and no complications. The macbook had Imovie installed and that is where we were able to edit on.

We also used an Iphone 6 to do the filming. From experience of last year we decided to use the Iphone 6 as we knew it wes reliable and had a high definition camera which made our media work even better and effective.

We used Youtube to upload our video onto when finished but also used it for researching and planning. We were able to gather information about our genre of music and find out the various conventions used for effect. We were able to refer to this research and planning when we were filming therefore able to improve our work.

We also used Photoshop in order to create and edit our Digipak. Photoshop allowed us to make an attraction and appeal to our target audience by adding texts and images which compliment our music video and the chosen song.

We also used Google when research and planning to search our artist and the lyrics so we had a better understanding of them. Once we had researched the artist and the lyrics we were able to put them into our video which made fitting the scenes we had planned for a lot easier.

We also used Blogger to record our research and planning and were able to refer to it at later times this benefited us as we were able to change certain parts of our music video in order to fit the genre of house music and use the conventions associated.
